Jenny Melanson

Background – A “come from away” born and raised in Cap-Pelé, New Brunswick (see if you can detect that Acadian accent during class!). I moved to PEI for a job as a translator in 2009, and I’m here to stay!

Spinning – I started attending spin classes 9 or 10 years ago as a way of keeping my fitness levels up during the winter, but ended up really falling in love with spin class on its own. I decided to take the plunge and get certified in 2020, then led spin classes for about 18 months. I’m thrilled to now start a new chapter at my favourite bike shop.

Favourite activities – I dabble in all sorts of cycling, but have really come to love the bike-packing camping trips I’ve done regularly with my husband. After having a baby in the summer of 2022, I’m looking forward to all kinds of new gear and adventures with the little one! During a regular year, you can often find me at Brookvale, either on the mountain bike trails or the cross-country ski trails. Also a vinyl collector and book lover 🙂

Class description – Music is central to how I build my class. Expect an ever-evolving eclectic mix with big energy and big beats! Looking for a great workout? Excellent. Want to really challenge yourself and push your limits? You can do that too. Prefer having fun, doing a chiller ride and getting rid of some stress? No worries! I’m here to guide you through class, but it’s up to you to set your intentions and your goals, and make the ride your own. I hope to bring a body neutral environment where everyone feels welcome, from newbies to regular spinners.
